Job Insecurity is one of the wildest issue which is being faced by the human resource department and the intensity of this issue has been increased several folds in this era of financial crunch. Now this issue is acting like a cobra for the Human Resource Personnel. Increasing fear of loosing job in the employees has been increased several time. Last time I was watching the movie "UP IN THE AIR" the issue has been discussed beautifully that how people feel when they loose their job and what impact it really made on the rest.

A recent survey conducted by university of Cambridge shows that increasing job insecurity is lead to the De-motivation in the employees. people are in severe phobia and the productivity and performance has been cut down at a threatening level for the employers. The trend has started risen from the 1990's and still the slope of the graph is moving up ward. Job Insecurity is not only effecting the productivity of the organization but it is disturbing the work life balance.  

Loosing productivity and performance is the part which we can ignore  because it may effect only a single organization but disturbance in work life balance is creating the disturbance in the whole societal system. Job Insecurity is causing the poor health, stress, and anxiety. So, its the need of the hour that HR professional should discuss this issue as early as possible in order to create a difference with the rest who are non HR personnels.
