Discrimination at Workplace
No doubt in each and every county EEO (Equal Employment opportunity) Laws exist but companies usually bypass these laws and go for their personal wishes rather than making decision on the reality basis. In this way the employees who really deserves to get promoted or recruited remained behind feels dissatisfied and looses their morale.
The problem in case of Discrimination is that people usually don't know about their rights and if they really do they don't know how to raise their voices against that. secondly at the managerial level, they usually discriminate but they don't know that they are actually doing this, in technical terms this phenomenon is called Halo effect which is more disastrous when manager do it with out knowing the fact. Further i will post what are different types of discrimination and how to get rid from it.

ReplyDeleteAnd it is the job of the HR Professionals to come up with a program that can address "workplace Descrimination". With my previous experience, we managed to conduct "building organizational Cultures" for us to be able to come up with common shared values. and tru this, we based our ploicies and programs on the company vision, mission and shared values. We always emphasize with our employee that the organization does not consired you as Pilipino, Malaysian, Indonesian, Sri Lankan... but "employee" of the organization and you are part of the family...
