Human Resource Management and Pakistani Organizations

Human Resource Department is supposed to be a value able department through out worldwide specially after the evolution of HR as a Strategic Human Resource Management. Companies through out the world are investing to make their personnels more skill and the concept of career development have been arised. benefits like employees training and development, health care and education, financial and non financial benefits are all given to the employees in response to rendering their services more effectively.

but as in case of Pakistan and other such countries, companies are not taking this department seriously, they just took it as a formality, some may use it as a need for certain certification and other just for the sake of showoff and things becomes pathetic at that time when the new entrepreneur are not taking care of this department, young professional having lack of interest in the subject like HR and take it as a necessary evil, nothing more.from a survey conducted by the students, only 25% of the students willingly join the HR profession in which 18% are those who done their BBA or MBA with the specialization in these subject while the rest are having the Master in HRM. conditions are really pathetic and organization dont bother about this department. on the other hand institutes are not preparing well their students for working in this profession and those who join this profession unable to perform well with its true soul.

there are very few multinational and national companies which are doing good in Pakistan for developing this department. these are

while in other local companies condition is pathetic same situation is there for international companies, they are not performing well as they are doing globally, perhaps they might thinking to perform their processes in accord with the culture of Pakistan. The reason might be this or the other, trilogy of HR Professionals, Organizations and institute must work together for developing of this department, this is the only way we can achieve our objectives.
